How it works

A disciplined process, from first conversation to follow-through.

The analysis changes with your situation. The discipline behind it does not.

Every engagement follows the same eight-stage lifecycle, in the same order. What happens inside the analysis depends on what your financial picture actually requires.

The engagement, stage by stage

  1. Stage 01: Discovery

Understand the decision in front of you, the household situation, the urgency, and whether GenThree is a strong fit.

No substantive engagement begins until scope and fit are clear.

  2. Stage 02: Scope & Agreement

Define the engagement, the fee, the responsibilities, the information required, and the exact scope of work.

Put in writing before any work begins.

  3. Stage 03: Intake

Gather and verify the financial information needed to understand the household accurately.

    • Accounts
    • Income
    • Debt
    • Property
    • Benefits
    • Cash flow
    • Taxes
    • Family
    • Documents
    • Major decisions

No analysis begins while known critical inputs are missing.

  4. Stage 04: Analysis

Determine what matters, then go deeper only where the household actually requires it.

The complete picture determines where the analysis goes next.

  5. Stage 05: Pressure-Test

Challenge the conclusion with alternatives, changed assumptions, timing, sensitivities, and downside cases.

Every high-stakes conclusion is tested before it enters the deliverable.

  6. Stage 06: Deliverable

Turn the analysis into a written financial architecture, a recommendation, and prioritized next actions.

Reviewed against its own assumptions and limitations, then frozen as the delivered version.

  7. Stage 07: Delivery

Walk through the conclusions, the assumptions, the tradeoffs, and the conditions that would change the recommendation.

You understand the reasoning before deciding whether to act.

  8. Stage 08: Follow-Through

Record what happened, what remains open, and what context should carry into the next decision.

Recorded as what you report deciding. GenThree does not implement on your behalf.

Inside stage 04

The lifecycle is fixed. The analysis inside it is not.

Runs for every household

  • Accounts
  • Income
  • Cash flow
  • Debt
  • Taxes
  • Net worth

What the complete picture shows determines which deeper analysis runs next.

Runs only where the household requires it

  • Retirement — activated for this household
  • Employer benefits — not activated for this household
  • Property / financing — activated for this household
  • Investment allocation — not activated for this household
  • Business — not activated for this household
  • Inheritance — activated for this household
  • Legacy / family — activated for this household

Representative, and shown as one household would activate them. Not a checklist, not the full set, and not a sequence — deeper analysis is ordered by urgency and dependency, never by a fixed running order.

Not every household needs every analysis.

Inside stage 05

A recommendation has to survive being attacked.

Initial conclusion

  • Assumptions

Which assumptions are doing load-bearing work?

  • Sensitivity

Which single input, if wrong, changes the answer?

  • The opposite case

What is the strongest argument against this?

  • Blind spots

What in the household did this analysis ignore?

It survives

Preferred under current assumptions — and we tell you which assumptions those are.

It does not

The recommendation changes before it ever reaches you.

Who is responsible for what

You keep control. GenThree stays accountable for the work.

You control

  • Whether to act
  • When to act
  • How to implement
  • Your assets, throughout

GenThree is accountable for

  • Reasonable inquiry
  • Analytical quality
  • Tested calculations
  • Stated assumptions
  • Professional judgment
  • Recommendations within scope

Client control. Practitioner accountability.Neither one without the other.

When a decision needs another professional — tax preparation, estate law, insurance, brokerage execution — the analysis identifies the exact questions worth bringing to them.

After stage 08

The next decision does not start from zero.

Already in your Financial Profile

  • Accounts
  • Goals
  • Prior decisions
  • Assumptions
  • Family
  • Legacy
  1. What changed?

    Change captured

Only the facts that changed are updated.

  2. A new decision

    Decision framed

The new question is evaluated in the context already on file.

  3. Updated analysis

    Analysis refreshed

Relevant assumptions, calculations, tradeoffs, and dependencies are tested again.

  4. Updated strategy

    Profile + strategy updated

The recommendation, priorities, and decision history are carried forward.

Your first step is simply understanding what may be missing.

About ten minutes. No cost.
